giving of resources

The gift of resources includes the financial resources we earn by using our time and talents.

"The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully, will also reap bountifully. Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

2 Corinthians 9:6-7

We ask each of you to put God first, trust in God and give sacrificially.

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal: but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in

and steal."

Matthew 6:19-20

Tithing is one method of sharing your resources.

"Do not say to yourself, "My power and the might of my own hand have gotten me this wealth." But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, so that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your ancestors, as he is doing today."

Deuteronomy 8:17-18
